Customs House Hotel

1846

Customs House Hotel was established in a 2-storey building originally owned by Andrew Thompson.

The twostorey brick building was replaced by a four-storey structure, owned by Henry Moses and run by Mary Purcell.

Purchased by Resch’s Ltd (Edmund Resch).

A pub was extended at the rear by Robertson & Marks Architects.

Tooth & Co. purchased the company assets of Resch’s Ltd, including the Customs House Hotel.

Amid the changing face of Circular Quay, the Customs House Hotel remained a Sydney staple.

Closed during construction of the Ramada Renaissance Hotel.
